AARON GALLO
Born in Milwaukee, WI
Lives and works in Minneapolis. MN
Aaron is a filmmaker specializing in screenwriting and directing with an accent in lighting and rigging. He creates short films and short documentaries with themes focused on the young adult, identity and culture. One work where he utilized all three major themes was a short documentary done in film school on the music that motivated young creators. He interviewed three prosperous student artists and discussed their personal music taste and how it motivated their own practice as visual artists. Through his surrounding atmosphere he finds inspiration retelling specific life experiences that could relate to others in similar circumstances. Utilizing skills in directing, writing, acting, lighting, cinematography, sound recording, production design and editing enhance his main focus as a young filmmaker. Aaron learned these skills attending the Minneapolis College of Art & Design (MCAD) obtaining a four year Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Filmmaking. Being versatile in all of these components of film allows Aaron to fully display stories and ideas that he wants to share with everyone. He became interested in films as a child but didn’t realize his passion for creating them until his second year at MCAD. Aaron’s priority as an artist is to provide passionate content to an audience who can find relevance and connections in the ideas he examines. Aaron hopes to one day achieve critical acclaim and accolades during his professional film career.
